Part of the Marketforce Limited group of companies, Media Decisions | OMD started life as Marketforce Government Media in 1987, when the group was successful in winning the Western Australian Government Master Media Contract which was offered for the first time in that year.

In 1993, Marketforce Government Media became Media Decisions in order to more adequately reflect the significant amounts of Non Government business making up the total billings mix.

Over recent years we have watched with great interest as new media buying groups emerged on both the national and international stage, and we have carefully analysed which ones offered the best in terms of size, strength, technological advancement and service delivery.

To us one group, OMD - International Media Agency of the Year for the past three years and Australian Media Agency of the year for two of the past three years – stands head and shoulders above the rest.

Through our financial links to OMD’s parent company, Omnicom, we have pursued OMD and formed a licence agreement to bring this internationally recognised brand, along with all of its proprietary media planning technology, to Western Australia and in February 2008 Media Decisions (WA) will became Media Decisions ï OMD.

We have proudly held the Advertising Services CUA to this day and have been reappointed as one of two panel contractors, with the new contract set to run for five years until 2012. The current mix of billings is around 50% Government and 50% Non Government.

On a national level, Media Decisions | OMD is a financial affiliate member of Omnicom Media Group Australia (OMGA), one of Australia's "big four" media buying consortiums. As such, Media Decisions | OMD is exceptionally well placed to offer a total media buying facility to Government, advertising agencies and direct clients alike.

To this end, Media Decisions | OMD utilises TSS, a total media planning/buying and financial software system that is the industry standard. Media Decisions | OMD also subscribes to AIM Data, AC Nielsen, OzTAM and Roy Morgan in order to access the very latest audience/demographic information on a daily basis.
